Who we are
Wisal ("the app") is a digital business card service operated by The Socials LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what data we handle and why, for the Wisal iOS app and the wisalcard.com website.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Card content — the details you choose to put on your cards: name, role, company, phone numbers, email addresses, links, photos and logos. You control every field.
- Contacts you save — details of people you scan, meet via QR, or add manually, along with your tags and notes. We never read your phone's address book.
- Anonymous card analytics — when someone views or saves your shared card we count the event against the card. We do not record who they are, their device identifiers, or their location.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad networks, no data brokers.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No selling of personal data — ever.
- No reading of your phone contacts, location, or health data.
Sharing a card
Sharing is the point of a business card: when you share your card via QR or link, anyone with that link can see the card's contents and save them as a contact. Unshare at any time by deleting the card.
Where data lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider Supabase (project hosted in the Asia-Pacific region) and protected with row-level security so each account can only reach its own data. Transport is encrypted (TLS).
Your rights & controls
- Export — Settings → Privacy → Export all data gives you a complete copy in JSON.
- Delete — Settings → Privacy → Delete account removes your account and all cards, contacts and analytics immediately.
- You may also email us (below) to exercise any data right under the UAE PDPL, GDPR or similar laws that apply to you.
Children
Wisal is a professional networking tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will note it here and in the app.
